This is Camilla, the eldest princess of Nohr. She’s here to show off her special new outfit to celebrate the New Year!

She’s wearing a traditional Hoshidan style of kimono called haregi. Note the red-and-white color scheme—apparently, that combination is supposed to bring good fortune!

And have you noticed the unusual-looking weapon she’s carrying? Well, it’s unusual-looking because it’s a kadomatsu—which is a type of New Year decoration, and not traditionally a weapon!

Camilla hopes that her New Year haregi look will help her to better understand Hoshidan culture. And what better way to do it than by welcoming in the year with all her friends?
